Arts Organisation, London, Temporary (£13 per Hour plus holiday pay)
Our client, a renowned arts organisation, requires a Curatorial Administrator to start 25th / 26th October. This is a temporary position which is expected to last until end of December/ January 2023 while they recruit permanently.
Main duties of this Curatorial Administrator role are:
- Act as first point of contact for all inter and external enquiries to curators
- Attend to incoming calls
- Carry out general admin and record keeping
- Organise and minute key programming meetings and team meetings
- Booking meeting rooms and catering as and when required
- Arrange travel bookings and itineraries
- Assist with purchasing of goods and services
- Process expenses and record and monitor invoices
- Maintain office systems and equipment
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and assist Curators and Assistant Curators with other image-handling packages
- Order and dispatch catalogues
- Arrange installation photography of all exhibitions and displays
- Assist with onboarding new starters and offboarding leavers
- Maintaining stationery and office supplies
- Working with the Administration Manager, coordinate the Departmental performance review and portfolio process
- Assist with departmental events
- Provide general and flexible administration support and assistance as required
Skills and experience
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Solid experience in a similar role within a gallery or museum
- Ability to work well under pressure and complete multi-tasks to meeting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with good telephone manner
- Experience of corresponding discretely with internal colleagues and external contracts at all levels
- A team player, contributing positively to team goals with a proactive, flexible and collaborative approach
- Strong knowledge of all Microsoft packages, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
