Key Qualifications
- You have strong editorial judgment and excellent writing skills.
- You have a deep familiarity with the U.S. audience and news cycle.
- You have experience with analysis of breaking news and filing clear, concise copy on deadline. Newsletter and social media experience preferred.
- You are fluent in data and analytics and can responsibly incorporate user behaviour into your editorial strategy.
Description
- Select articles for featuring across the U.S. newsletter, social media, and U.S. Apple News app, with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and context. - Write sharp and engaging copy in the Apple News voice. Work with editors to ensure your work meets all aspects of our house style and standards. - Explain and provide context around complex news stories, often on tight deadlines. - Work cross-functionally to support News projects and goals. - Surface bugs and other performance issues.
