Finixio is looking for a Crypto News Reporter Apprentice to join their team. As an apprentice, you'll work alongside our experienced reporters to learn the ins and outs of crypto journalism. You'll be responsible for researching, writing, and editing news articles on a variety of topics related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.
But don't worry, they’re not looking for a seasoned pro just yet. They want someone who's eager to learn and isn't afraid to ask questions!
In addition to writing articles, you'll have the opportunity to attend industry events, interview thought leaders, and develop your skills as a reporter. You'll also get to work with a team of like-minded individuals who are passionate about the crypto space.

Job description.
As a Crypto News Reporter Apprentice, you will be planning, developing, creating and evaluating content for the business. Your job responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):
- Conducting research on the latest developments in the crypto industry
- Assisting senior reporters with interviews and data gathering
- Writing news pieces and feature stories for online publications
- Pitching story ideas to the editorial team
- Monitoring social media and other news sources for breaking stories
- Editing and proofreading your own work and the work of others
- Collaborating with other team members to develop new content formats and ideas
- Developing a strong understanding of the crypto industry and its key players
- Attending industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest trends
- Assisting with social media and other promotional activities to help promote our content and grow our audience.

Entry requirements
- A-C (4-9) English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent
- A passion for social media and digital content!
- Strong interest and knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry and related news
- Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write engaging news stories
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn from experienced reporters and editors
- Ability to conduct research and gather information from multiple sources
- Basic understanding of journalistic principles and ethics
- Proficient in using digital tools for research and reporting
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience writing for a student newspaper or news website is a plus but not required.
The Juice Academy is a digital marketing Academy based in Castlefield, Manchester. They train up to 80 apprentices a year, whilst the apprentices work with businesses around the North West (and sometimes further afield!). The training is delivered by industry professionals from their sister company, Tangerine Communications. The Juice Academy training sessions are a hybrid of face-to-face learning within the academy in Castlefield, and online delivery via Zoom. Apprentices will also receive on the job training in the workplace. The employer is ideally looking for someone based close enough to Manchester to travel for the bi-weekly training, however they can consider candidates in further afield locations.
The final three months of the course will be the ‘assessment period’ during which apprentices are expected to produce a portfolio of work and complete a series of assessments. Full digital marketing training to be provided on-the-job and off-the-job. The Juice Academy partner with Apprentify, who support apprentices in the workplace through development coaching.
The qualification will include:
- Level 3 Content Creator

Successful candidates will be invited to an online assessment session where you will complete several tasks. If you are successful, you will then be invited to an Interview or our 'Boot Camp' recruitment day in April in The Academy in Manchester City, where you will meet the employers and have the chance to grab yourself a job. Please mark clearly on your application if you will be unavailable to start on this date and we will consider you for future selection days.
Note: The Juice Academy will recruit a number of apprentices to start in April and while you’re applying for a position with this employer your application may be sent to other employers if it's unsuccessful with this employer.
- Please note: For the first year, you will be paid a minimum salary of £15,000 . Thereafter, your pay will be increased to the National Living Wage (currently £9.50 per hour). All salaries are set at the employers’ discretion; however, this will be the minimum you will receive.
