Job description
Croydon Music and Arts is seeking a Communications and Learning Development Officer to be responsible for the communications strategy and the processes for tracking the development of Croydon’s young musicians and artists. We wish to appoint someone skilled in using all means of communication, including social media, and who is passionate about supporting our mission to amplify the voices of young people and enhance their lives and life chances through the arts.
Your role will be to:
- Create copy for our website, social media and other communication channels to persuade young people (and their parents and carers and schools) to begin a journey in the arts
- Support our talented teachers and practitioners to create attractive and effective learning resources to help our young musicians and artists on their journey
- Manage the processes for our young musicians and artists to gain accreditation for their progress and development, and use their artistic achievements to persuade others to begin a journey in the arts
- This is an exciting time to join Croydon Music and Arts. We are the only organisation in the country with both Music Education Hub and Youth Performance Partnership funding, and we shall have an important role to play in Croydon being London Borough of Culture in 2023.
Full time permanent 36 hours per week
