Based in Morley, Leeds

Hybrid working is offered with this role with a mixture of home/office/community working

Part of West Yorkshire Joint Services, West Yorkshire Trading Standards is an exciting and fast paced organisation serving five District Councils within West Yorkshire – Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.

The role is based in the West Yorkshire Financial Exploitation and Abuse Team (WYFEAT). This multi-agency task force undertakes complex criminal investigations, safeguarding victims and vulnerable adults in the community and also undertakes confiscation cases to remove assets from offenders and compensate victims. The types of cases WYFEAT investigate include scams, fraud, doorstep crime, and other financial abuse by family, friends, carers etc. Alongside investigating criminality, the successful candidate will work with other key agencies including the Police and social workers to ensure that appropriate safeguarding measures are in place, whilst also liaising with victims of financial abuse to prevent further exploitation.
