Job Title: Crime Scene Investigator Technical Manager
Job Type: Contract/ Temporary
Duration: 12 months
Rate: £ 300 - £370 per day
Location: Hybrid – 2 days a week in the office in any of the following locations: Birmingham, Bristol, Kingston on Thames, Leicester, Nottingham, Tamworth, Warrington
IR35 Status: In scope
Security Clearance: SC Check will be required before starting
Description:
We are looking for an experienced Forensic Practitioner who is self-motivated, driven and conversant in the requirements for ISO Quality Standards and management of a Quality Management System.
We require a candidate with:
- Solid experience and understanding of ISO:17020 accreditation and standards.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant forensic legislation and Forensic Science Regulator Codes of Practice affecting forensic activity.
- Extensive working experience of both volume and serious and major crime scene examination.
- Working experience of internal audit at ISO: 17020 or equivalent; writing checklists, non-conformances, opening and closing meetings, raising corrective actions etc.
- The successful candidate will stay informed of scientific developments by cultivating and maintaining relationships with national networks and working groups as well as key partners and stakeholders.
- They will need excellent presentation skills and be fully conversant in auditing and assessment requirements. In addition to initial accreditation requirements they will also seek to develop new areas for extension to scope.
