Job Overview
Lead, coordinate and administrative duties related to the running of the Surrey Cricket Foundation Pride of Lions programme based in either the SCF office at Kia Oval or that located within Surrey Cricket Centre in Guildford.
General Duties
Provide administrative support for the Cricket Participation Manager in the delivery of a range of different programmes and initiatives involving children and young people
Main areas of work within this role:
Leading the coordination of the Foundation’s Pride of Lions junior coaching course programme
Liaising with the booking site used to host the Pride of Lions courses to resolve problems and support customers in completing bookings
Recruitment and onboarding of casual coaches to ensure that they are available to work on the Pride of Lions programme and the other projects run by the Foundation
Support members of the Cricket Participation Team with day-to-day administrative tasks
Carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature to those described above, which may be allocated from time to time as directed by the Cricket Participation Manager.
Essential Requirements
Experience in a similar role, either paid or voluntary
Experience of dealing with customers
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Ability to respond to changes and tight deadlines remaining calm at all times
Effective communicator who works well in a team
Ability to learn quickly and a ‘can do’ attitude
IT literate with strong Microsoft Office skills
Able to use their initiative
Desirable Attributes
Level 2 qualified cricket coach
Experience of managing casual coaches
Experience administering a membership bookings database, ideally in a sporting context
Knowledge of ECB safeguarding processes and the procedures that are in place to ensure children can safely take part in sport
Clean driving licence
Experience of coordinating events, sporting or otherwise.
