The difference you’ll make.

  • Solving complex business problems to help the bank develop appropriate credit risk management strategies, driving forward practical value-based solutions

  • Providing Senior Managers across the bank with insight and sophisticated analysis of business performance and future potential

  • Identifying key portfolio issues requiring further investigation using in depth knowledge of credit portfolio performance

  • Taking accountability for an area of credit policy, monitoring performance, clearly communicating issues, developing and recommending changes where appropriate

  • Challenging proposals and decisions that conflict with sound, value based credit portfolio management

  • Ensuring that strong links are maintained between Risk and other key business areas

What you’ll bring.

  • Previous experience in credit risk function or similar analysing data using statistical packages (ideally experience in SAS or SQL)

  • Degree level in a numerate subject (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Operational Research, Physics, or Engineering, ideally 2:1 or above) and/or equivalent qualifications/experience

It would also be nice for you to have

  • Strong communication, relationship and influencing skills with the ability to explain the results of complex analysis to a non-technical audience

  • Awareness of credit industry products and markets

  • Creative thinking as many problems are unprecedented and without guidelines

  • Resilient to setbacks, with the tenacity, drive and keen eye for detail required to solve complex and challenging problems
