The difference you’ll make.
Solving complex business problems to help the bank develop appropriate credit risk management strategies, driving forward practical value-based solutions
Providing Senior Managers across the bank with insight and sophisticated analysis of business performance and future potential
Identifying key portfolio issues requiring further investigation using in depth knowledge of credit portfolio performance
Taking accountability for an area of credit policy, monitoring performance, clearly communicating issues, developing and recommending changes where appropriate
Challenging proposals and decisions that conflict with sound, value based credit portfolio management
Ensuring that strong links are maintained between Risk and other key business areas
What you’ll bring.
Previous experience in credit risk function or similar analysing data using statistical packages (ideally experience in SAS or SQL)
Degree level in a numerate subject (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Operational Research, Physics, or Engineering, ideally 2:1 or above) and/or equivalent qualifications/experience
It would also be nice for you to have
Strong communication, relationship and influencing skills with the ability to explain the results of complex analysis to a non-technical audience
Awareness of credit industry products and markets
Creative thinking as many problems are unprecedented and without guidelines
Resilient to setbacks, with the tenacity, drive and keen eye for detail required to solve complex and challenging problems
