The Division:
Our Fixed Income Division is comprised of highly experienced salespeople, traders, structurers, quants, analysts, business managers and capital markets professionals, and provides a full range of fixed income products and services to institutional investors in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Our knowledge-driven sales and trading professionals provide the best execution and 24-hour liquidity in the global markets, with the highest level of attention to client service.
The Team:
Our Repo Trading Team trades across asset classes, providing liquidity and best-in-class service to internal and external clients.
The Role:
We are looking to hire a senior Credit Repo Trader to join the team in London (VP or above).
Key Responsibilities:
- Trade repo across multiple asset classes (IG, HY, EM, SSAs, EGBs)
- Maximize revenue per unit of resources deployed
- Manage relationships with lenders and build upon the franchise
- Manage relationships with hedge funds
- Monitor and improve our current efforts to ensure efficiency whilst mitigating and managing counterparty credit risks
- Support the development of junior colleagues as we continue to grow
Qualifications
- A track record in credit repo trading, either covering a firm’s shorts or monetizing inventory positions with borrowers
- Longstanding relationships within the lenders community and with borrowers (hedge funds, in particular)
- Demonstrated operational experience, ideally including collateral management/optimisation
- Accomplished understanding of counterparty credit risk and financial resources requirements (regulatory capital, liquidity, balance sheet)
- Team player, able to work well under pressure, to provide best-in-class service to multiple clients and stakeholders
