Credit Controller –Newark– Study Support- £23,000-£24,000
Chase & Holland are delighted to be working with a company that is looking for a credit controller to join their close-knit team. Experience of working within a credit control role is required along with experience of delivering a high-quality service by building relationships with clients. This role offers candidates the opportunity to work within a company which is based in environmental services and will offer progression along with study support to further their knowledge of credit control.

Credit Controller Responsibilities:

• Resolving payment queries with customers and chasing overdue payments
• Raising credit notes
• Dealing with debit notes
• Negotiating payment plans and placing customers on stop if needs be
• Dealing with internal queries
• Raising invoices and updating purchase order numbers
• Setting up and activating direct debit mandates
• Taking card payments and manual direct debits
• Dealing with terminations
• Issuing reminder letters
• Reporting on bad debts using Company’s House for information
• Provide support in the credit control team
• Preparation of statements on a monthly basis
• Processing customer remittances when required

What we’re looking for

• Confidence and persistence on the telephone when liaising with customers
• Be accurate, efficient and organised
• Knowledge of our accounting system (currently Sage)
• Ability to maintain strong relationships with customers
• CICM credit management course would be seen ad beneficial but not essential
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Experience of working in a previous credit control position will be seen as essential

Hours:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday- 40 hours per week
