This is an exciting career opportunity for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team in Huddersfield! This role will be instrumental in driving forwards the efficiencies and effectiveness of the team.
Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 4.45pm and Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm
During the period of system change the current team is overwhelmed with back log on debt recovery actions. For speedy recovery of aged debt and stabilising the team an interim credit control manager position is created for a period of 6 months.
Your main responsibilities
· Reviewing and improve existing Credit Control processes
· Reviewing the weekly debt leger position, identifying aged balances and executing collection activities
· Understanding customer queries and resolving them.
· Negotiating quick and speedy recovery of balances.
· Ensuring the company Credit Policy is adhered to across the businesses
· Producing management information as part of the senior management reporting
· Proposing system and process improvement to improve efficiency going forward
· Reviewing and resetting credit limits.
· Preparing case for any debt collection legal actions
About you
· Relevant experience working in aa similar role within a demanding environment
· Excellent communication, strong and tough character to deal with demanding customers
· Strong knowledge and understanding of credit control customer focus function
· Confident, self-driven, high energy, mature and seasonal professional
· Ability to establish and maintain internal and external customer relationships at all levels
· Ability to influence and negotiate
· Team player with proactive positive attitude
