- To establish a Credit Control function within Everest Global Markets Operations team driving standardised procedures with Key Performance Indicators and proactively manage the team to ensure accounts are serviced to a high standard and within deadlines. Create a culture of continuous improvement and contribute to the wider success of the Group Operations Team
- Ensure that all monies owed to Everest Global Markets are collected and processed accurately and in a timely manner and to reduce the Bad Debt exposure and improve the cash flow and investment income
- Ensure service efficiency through effective process execution in line with offshoring, policy, process and governance requirements.
- Ensure clear and regular communication with Brokers, Cover holders, Finance, IT & Data Management, Underwriting teams and Group Operations management
- Work with Operations and Finance management to identify cost, quality or timeliness improvements in our services
- Work with various stakeholders including IT, Operations, Finance and Data Management to ensure the Group’s needs and requirements are incorporated into technology roadmaps
- Take control of ad hoc day to day issues in credit control to ensure effective solutions are defined and implemented, including effective resolution of cash related queries on Xchanging messaging and direct settlements, incidents and problems within agreed timelines, Facilitate external audits or other audit requests by providing timely and accurate information
- Any other ad hoc tasks as defined and agreed with the Underwriting Operations Manager.
- All functions to be performed in accordance with Everest policies and specific procedure manuals, as amended from time to time.
- Run/facilitate workshops for training or data gathering purposes.
Professional Experience:
- Relevant experience of working for a Lloyd’s Syndicate/London Company, preferably in a similar role.
- Possesses excellent market experience and contact base in dealing with Operations credit control teams across the London Market.
- Good organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be numerate and literate
- Logical, analytical and resourceful
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow through on tasks/projects
- Must be able to work alone but also contribute as part of a team
IT Skills
Must be computer literate:-
- Intermediate Excel and Word
- Use of Xchanging IRIS or other underwriting systems (desirable but not essential)
- Use of Document Management & Workflow systems (desirable but not essential)
- Use of Management Information tools (desirable but not essential)
- Use of IMR and Lloyds accounts enquiry
