Summary: The Credit Analyst will be responsible for credit and collection activities for a portfolio of customers. Credit activities include utilizing credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit to firms or individuals. This individual is responsible for monitoring their portfolio will work under direct supervision of the Credit Manager. Collection activities include collection of past due balance, invalid short payments, and ensuring compliance with the limits and policies approved by the Credit Manager.
This position will be a combination of remote and onsite at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle, WA. Our hybrid work environment includes remote on Monday and Friday and onsite in the Support Center on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit File - maintains current credit information through applications, reports, contacts, addresses, and communications
- Credit File Review & Recommendations - compares liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of establishments being evaluated with those of similar establishments in the same industries. Evaluates investigation results, prepares report findings, and suggest credit limitations to the Credit Manager
- Trade AR - collects past due balances and invalid short payments, document and report activities, and make recommendations to the Credit Manager
- Credit Releases - evaluates orders on credit hold to ensure compliance with the limits and policies approved by the Credit Manager
- Internal Support - Prompt communication and support to internal teams regarding the creditworthiness or collection status of customers. Participation in improvement initiatives
- Credit and Collection Communication - Frequent communication with customers to confirm credit transactions, verify credit and financial information, and resolve complaints
- Industry Monitoring & Participation - Daily engagement in industry credit news and studies industry economic trends. Obtains and communicates credit information with associates, banks, trade and credit associations, salespeople, and business representatives
Additional Responsibilities:
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions
- Strong accounting, finance, ratio analysis, statistics, economics, credit report analysis and financial analysis skills to assess risk of portfolio
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret information; write reports and business correspondence; follow instructions
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
- Uses all available sources of credit and financial information including but not limited to customer portals, webpages, credit reports, and public published information.
- Able to work and collaborate in a fast-paced small team environment
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and works collaboratively with Credit team and/or Credit Manager on more complex issues
- Eager to learn and grow within a team environment
This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $31 to $36.
