The Associate Creative Director leads and oversees an in-house creative team and is responsible for strategic development, creative concepting and storytelling, design, and production of high-quality creative within Zebra’s in-house Agency, Twenty6 Studios. They will manage the day-today and collaborate with art directors, graphic designers, copywriters, video production and freelancers. This role is also responsible for overseeing photo art direction. This role works in an environment that is fast paced and collaborative. A true leader willing to jump into day-to-day tasks as needed. The Associate Creative Director also stays current with marketing and design trends and innovations.
Responsibilities:
- Leads, oversees and plays an active role in creative ideation and strategic, conceptual development based on variety of project needs, including creation of sketches, moodboards and storyboards for video production
- Leads and participates in creative brainstorm sessions
- Supervises junior/mid-level staff
- Oversees/cross-checks/proofs work of others
- Consults with project managers to plan and prioritize requests and capacity within the team
- Collaborates with marketing stakeholders and subject-matter experts to develop best-in-class marketing materials
- Consistently demonstrates an understanding of Zebra’s brand standards, and serves as a brand steward
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an art or a related design field such as fine arts, digital media, or visual communications.
- 8+ years of experience
- A leader and ‘do-er’
- Experienced in story telling using marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
- Takes work from concept to final execution within deadlines
- Stays on top of all trends and maintain best practices
- Works collaboratively with the Creative Director to build on and execute against global initiatives
- Ability to develop a rich understanding of our products and brands
- Proficiency with design software such as the Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Produces sketches, comps, roughs to visualize ideas if necessary
- Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, project management and time management skills
- Superior attention to detail-have a production eye
- Comfortable working across multiple types of media
- Effectively communicates ideas to senior leadership
- 10% travel to events
- Hybrid schedule out of Lincolnshire, IL. facility
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in an advertising agency or with an in house creative team
- Experience leading and supervising creative teams

Salary: USD 101600.00 - USD 152400.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
