Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading and directing the end-to-end creation, delivery and process for Hill’s “always on” digital and eCommerce content, focusing on retailer.com.
The Online Creative Lead is a central part of the regional content creation,ensuring the creation and delivery of full ACPL (acquisition, consideration, purchase and loyalty) content for activation across all customers. Alongside delivery, the role is responsible for supporting key pan-European customers with the execution and support of any onsite content/ user experiences supporting the customers’ marketing and promotional grids.
The candidate’s priority is to direct creation of the right, high quality digital content on the right platform with the right message and right time, partnering with brand team, commercial team, customers, agencies and freelancers to drive ongoing engagement with pet owners and allow us to quickly do and learn.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

50%: Regional REO Content Creation & Optimisation

  • Translate brand, commercial and communication objectives to specific content deliverables for consumer marketing and eCommerce platforms, working closely with the Senior Insights Analyst to infuse up-to-date shopper insights into all asset creation.
  • Work with regional Mktg and cross-functional teams to deliver technically and legally compliant materials.
  • Adapt and create retailer engine optimised copy, targeting local keywords, to establish prominence within customer search results, working closely with the internal eMarketing team (Search Manager and Pet-Parent Engagement Manager) and search agencies.
  • Oversee the upload and storage process of Hill’s eCommerce content within the central PIM/ DAM systems. Ensure that systems are maintained and optimised for the streamline process of content export and delivery of content to customers.
  • Advising team members on simple conversion enhancing methods to improve initial content, ideas, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Define and safeguard best practice content creation, management standards and processes, and provide guidance and capability building for teams.
  • Champion for Hill’s EMEA Ratings & Reviews on platform and retailer’s websites, proactively seeking for opportunities to solicits ratings and reviews and support brand team on insights from Ratings & Reviews.


25%: Regional Customer Activation

  • Oversee the development of marketing & promotional assets to support activation for core regional customers (Zooplus, Fressnapf and PAWS), utilising both central agency and freelance resources where applicable.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product content (copy, thumbnails, advanced content) for regional customers.
  • Champion the Hill’s brand image within customer sites, translating core equity information within customer on-site touchpoints (ie Storefront pages).
  • Develop materials to support core commercial objectives on acquisition and retention, heavily focussing on the delivery and execution of ‘compliance’ materials to drive pet-parent lifetime value within our brand.
  • Lead on-site UX programmes (ie Zoovisor) to test new customer technologies and functionalities to enhance our brand image and drive conversion.
  • Fuel insights & KPIs of content learnings from test & learn back into content creation process and share best practices internally.


25%: Local Support

  • Champion the ‘Perfect PDP’ guidelines documentation, to ensure optimised content production and content insights are effectively communicated across all countries to continue building foundational content knowledge within marketing & commercial teams.
  • Support local commercial teams with customer content onboarding sessions, with the objective to drive customer collaboration and demonstrate Hill’s as a core partner for their digital commerce acceleration.
  • Own the quarterly Online Acceleration Centre newsletter, developing the article communications with support from the eMarketing team for delivery to senior management and local teams.
  • Oversee Shoppability (frictionless commerce) plans and communications with local teams


Education/ Experience Requirements

  • 1- 2 years of working experience with managing and creating content (eCommerce product content, retailer display ads, website, Facebook).
  • Experience with A/B tests, using analytics data, user feedback, and user research to define or refine content so that it best meets user need.
  • Experience in UX optimization and or design an advantage.
  • Experience with (various) content management systems.
