My client is looking for an ECD. They are a mix of traditional production and technical post-production expertise, coming together with strategy, creative and digital to form a full-service Creative Studio.
They are a place for creative talent who strive to deliver digital experience across a broad range of production needs – filmmaking yes, but also animation, experiential, VR / AR, web ads, apps, games and social innovation. They see the value in a clever insight that might shape the creative approach and they keep a constant eye on the expanding opportunities around web 3.0 and the Metaverse and anything new and innovative.
Their clients work with them because they have expertise because they care about the craft and they understand the brilliance of storytelling in this changing landscape.
THE ROLE
They are now looking for an ECD, a new story instigator to join their team; a new voice who will create the spark that triggers their experience journeys. Someone who thinks “big and bold”, who communicates with passion and creates concepts that twist against conventions. Someone with a new perspective on ever more diverse audiences and who understands the experience zeitgeist.
This role is a creative leadership position, and with it comes the opportunity to shape the creative direction of the studio, to put your stamp on how they build ideas, how they collaborate with the newest and most forward-thinking talent in the creative industry
Who they’re looking for:
You’ll have proven, even award-winning expertise in creative campaigns, tech-led, content focused & storytelling. A senior head in the room is able to articulate and present confidently. A view on the new landscape of content, whether using Tik Tok creators or building 3d worlds in the metaverse - the opportunity is far-reaching a studio offering to service both directly to brands and agencies in the UK and beyond.
You might have called yourself an art director, copywriter or creative, but have always been involved in telling brand stories across different platforms. Above all, you will consistently bring bold ideas to life.

What you’ll be doing
- As an integral part of the in-house creative team, you will be happy to work on multiple projects, collaborating with and briefing creatives, designers, art workers and a range of specialist freelancers, leading projects and reporting directly to the Joint MD
- A black book of contacts is always helpful as they will be building this from the bottom up - their current clients include Meta which includes Whatsapp & Insta, Oneplus / Oppo and Adidas -
- Launch for the new studio offering will be January 2023, you will be instrumental in developing the re-brand, and building new website & logo with branding agency.
- As the studio grows you will be responsible for talent acquisition and development within the creative department.
- You will have the first review and response to briefs, preparing concepts to share with the wider team.
- Working with Planning / Strategy to develop concepts rooted in brand, consumer and channel insights.
- Supporting the client services team in selling ideas to clients, in the first months of launch your focus will be to assist the Managing Partner with pitch work and new business.
