Job description
Creative Designer
Milton Keynes (Hybrid)
Permanent
Good to know:
The role includes one day a week at Domino’s HQ in Milton Keynes. The rest of the week is WFH with monthly team meet-ups in London.
We’re after the latest and greatest designer at Domino’s in-house creative team "Big Dip". It’s basically the Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory of pizza… so get psyched.
You’ll be part of our newly established crack team of delicious designers, creating through-the-line campaigns across national social, digital and CRM channels and beyond (in between rigorous product testing of course).
Main areas of responsibility
Design assets you’re proud to put your name to wherever briefs allow…and even where they
don’t. We’re talking quality, consistency and CREATIVE.
Create compelling design assets for said lovely CRM team. Your mates will probably be getting these emails…so the visual concepts, typography and imagery better be on point!
Work closely with senior creatives and the wider marketing team to ensure everything’s on brand and looking fire.
Pay close attention to UX and UI to make sure the customer is gonna love it as much as we do.
Be totally on top of your workload, dropping as few dough balls as possible.
Accountability
Be a brand guardian of all Domino’s digital design assets.
Don’t be letting anyone mess with our stuff.
Deliver a consistently high quality design within agreed timeframes and budgets (can’t all be fun and games, just mostly).
Big up our in-house digital design capabilities across more of Domino’s business. Show off your team’s skills!
Educate wider Domino’s team on what does and doesn’t work. You’re the creative, help people out.
Set a benchmark that all digital assets need to live up to. That pizza’s gotta POP. And be fun, make you smile, and a whole bunch of other stuff, but we’ll get to that later.
Knowledge, skills, ability and experience
- Proven design experience in a creative agency or in-house for brands with a keen interest in eCommerce (but candidates with a strong portfolio from other backgrounds will be considered too).
- Expert in industry-standard design software like Adobe CC, including top knowledge of After Effects, Premier Pro, plug-ins, and cool with using assets provided in multiple formats.
- A solid understanding of HTML and CSS. You know what those are, right?
- Open to working with new services like Smartly and Moveable Ink, which have unique ways of setting up assets (not as scary as it sounds, promise).
- Strong creative design skills including image editing, typography, animation, and composition including a wicked portfolio of outstanding work.
- Super organised and able to coordinate with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. Got to be a little bit pedantic.
- Willing to take full ownership of your work, down to the smallest detail. Really hammering home this pedantic thing.
- Enjoy working with people and pizza in equal measure. It’s what we do, so we’ll need you to love doing it.
- Can-do attitude with the ability to take on feedback and constructive criticism because it’s not all bad!
- Show passion for your work, Domino’s brand vision and values… it’s pizza after all. Who doesn’t love pizza?
What we are offering
For the right person Domino’s will provide the opportunity to develop skills and experience with a market-leading FTSE 250 brand along with a competitive salary and great benefits such as company pension, private medical and dental, discretionary bonus and of course - discounted pizza!
