Creative Digital Design Professional (Integrated Degree) Apprenticeship

At Edison House Group we are looking for a confident and enthusiastic person to join our team in an exciting job role working alongside the in-house creative and digital marketing team.
A degree apprenticeship combines vocational work-based learning with study for a university degree. Designed in partnership with employers, degree apprenticeships offer a higher education qualification, a salary, and invaluable practical experience and employment skills.
The degree apprenticeship is 36 months with remote learning through Newcastle College.
The job will be 20% off the job training – so, for four days you will be expected to work with our expert team carrying out creative design tasks whereby full training will be given and for one day a week you will be attending off-the-job training, but usually in the office. Sprint residential weeks will happen each year where students work collaboratively on live briefs given by industry specialists and visiting speakers. This will be a full intensive five-day residential delivery.
On successful completion of this apprenticeship, you will achieve a BA (Hons) Creative Digital Design.
Entry requirements:
- 5 GCSE’s including both maths and English at grade 4 or above
- An appropriate creative qualification at level 3 (This can include T-levels, A-levels, BTEC etc. ) attaining 48-80 UCAS points.
Apprenticeship pay
This will be the national minimum wage apprenticeship rate for your age in line with government guidelines.

Experience
Candidates should have a basic portfolio containing a few projects - or some links to an online portfolio or websites they’ve worked on - so they can talk about their process, skills, the programs they have used and highlight the parts they enjoyed the most.
Essential skills:
- Interest in graphic design for web & print (as opposed to art)
- Good eye for detail
- Competence to work as a team and take instructions from colleagues & management
- Good timekeeping
- Ability to work on multiple projects
- Willingness to continuously learn new skills
- An interest in learning basic HTML and CSS
- Work remotely for course seminars and workshops
What you will be learning and using in your on-the-job training:
Windows OS (not Apple OSX) and the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, mainly:
- Photoshop (images like banners, photo manipulation)
- Illustrator (logos, diagrams, illustrations)
- InDesign (typography, flyers, leaflets, business cards etc)
- Acrobat (make PDFs and sometimes edit them)
- After effects (basic animations & short videos)
- Notepad (for HTML emails etc)
- Word
- Excel
- Basic photography skills
- HTML/CSS/Bootstrap (websites & email marketing)
