Job description
Process technician to control, operate and troubleshoot pumps, can washing equipment, RO Unit, and ensure the effluent treatment plant is monitored and meets legal requirements. You will be involved in process engineering practices. General process technician methods might include being able to start up a process, shut down a process, diagnose problems, undertake planned maintenance and restore repaired equipment to working order. Additionally, process technicians must comply with safety health and environmental rules.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide can washing quality.
- Keep chemical process under control.
- Ensure can cleaning and coating by washer chemicals.
- Ensure metal coating solutions are compatible with operation conditions and machinery can operate in optimum performance.
- Must follow instructions and perform tasks stated by the Maintainer.
- Have knowledge about and apply principals of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001.
- Liaise and generate a good working relationship with suppliers
PREPARATION / PLANNING
- Perform chemical control in the washer and in case of any deviation perform defect remover activities.
- Produce quality cans.
- Provide compatibility of coolant water and cupper lubricant in front-end section with operation conditions.
PRODUCTION / PRODUCING
- Realize quality can production by performing chemical control.
- Ensure can flow along the line by isolating mechanical defects.
- Depending upon shift requirements combine jobs of forklift driver, hoist man and cradle worker as assigned by Shift Manager. Functions are attached as a standard operation instruction.
CONTROL, VALIDITY AND QUALITY
- Perform chemical inspection tests and quality control in CPM site.
- Isolate mechanical defects. Notify Shift Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor of unrepairable defects.
- Having knowledge of ISO 9002 principals.

- Understands and responds effectively to fire-prevention directions during emergencies by being familiar with emergency procedures, equipment, and systems as necessary.
IMPROVE PROCESS AND QUALITY
- Work in coordination with Front-End Mechanics and Pal/Depal operators.
- Investigate the reasons of the states out of specifications.
MAINTENANCE AND GENERAL CLEANLINESS
- Perform daily protective maintenance of washer, wastewater and Schneider systems.
- Record the results and keep in the Daily Protective Maintenance file.
- Follow-up chemical material arrived near the machine.
- Ensure general cleanliness of machinery and around.
- Realize maintenances of conversions and periodicals.
Position Specifications:
Knowledge:
- Secondary technical education
- Experience for 2 years minimum in the production.
- Knowledge of nomenclature of all assigned equipment and products, and plant quality standards.
Skills:
- Ability to learn to identify product defects.
- Ability to work under close supervision.
- Ability to work with other people.
- Ability to effectively create and maintain a teamwork environment.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Possesses an interest in and an aptitude for mechanics.
- Computer skills
- Ability to read, write, calculate, and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Physical Requirements:
- Required to work in 12-hour shifts, rotating days, and nights, 7 days a week.
- Availability for overtime as required.
Working Conditions:
- May work with materials that could irritate eyes, skin and breathing. This will require wearing gloves, masks or other protective equipment.
- Requires working with or near high-speed, automated equipment.
- Requires working in confined spaces.
