Role purpose

The CP EAME POD Head will report into the CP EAME HR Head and will be a key member of the EAME CP HR Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will deliver strategic solutions in the design, enhancement, planning and implementation of corporate organizational development programs with a clear focus on leadership, transformation and change management.

Leading a team of POD professionals, you will deliver a strategic, modern and proactive function for Syngenta CP EAME supported by effective coaching and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

The CP EAME POD Head will work closely with both business leaders, regional CP teams and CP HR teams to design and implement strategic projects to deliver on the CP business priorities.

  • Designs and implements, sustainable initiatives and projects to deliver on the business People agenda.
  • Designs and implements team interventions to drive the cultural transformation.
  • Designs and delivers high quality programs that build capabilities and development for CP sustainable competitive advantage
  • Acts as change agent to the business through process design and approaches that support change and transformation.
  • Brings the understanding and views of the Employee experience with data driven and employee listening approaches to all solutions and projects.
  • Act as the POD partner for the CP HR Heads and Regional HR BPs, representing all POD disciplines. Leads the Regional POD team on the design and delivery of the projects.
  • Is a strong advocate to the D&I and Mental health agenda to deliver superior employee experience and business value through diversity and inclusion.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the CP HR / POD community to leverage expertise and share best practices in the areas of Culture, Leadership, Learning, Talent Management, change management, Org effectiveness and D&I.
  • Develop and sustain a creative relationship within the CP POD community to make sure disciplines’ solutions / initiatives / processes are integrated and leveraged
  • Manage external practitioners and vendors for targeted work and nurtures an external network for benchmarking and leveraging outside in perspectives.

Qualifications


Critical experience

  • You will hold a degree, be professionally qualified and have senior level experience of managing and developing OD strategies in large, complex and successful organisations where change and continuous improvement is the norm.
  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in HR and OD in a multinational, matrix organization
  • Relevant experience leading and/or running large-scale projects, ideally at a regional or global level, which involved significant change management, business transformation, org design and development.
  • Proven proficiency in large group facilitation and project management with a systemic and pragmatic approach.
  • Successful track record partnering with geographically dispersed senior stakeholders to resolve sophisticated process and change programs.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively across disciplines within a matrix environment spread across geographies and cultures.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of effectiveness as a people leader, team player and project leader who gets results
