Job description
Established in 1994, the CLD Trust is a well-respected local charity providing free counselling services across Herefordshire. Focussed initially on providing counselling to children and young people from the age of nine, the service has recently become more involved in providing services to adults as well.
You will be joining a team of friendly, skilled and committed counsellors and other mental health professionals. This is a great time to join our charity – we are looking afresh at all of our systems and processes to make sure we are reaching many children clients as possible.
You will be a qualified counsellor, ideally with at least 100 hours of counselling experience. As important as your qualifications and experience is your commitment to achieving the very best outcomes for our clients. You can expect excellent support and case management from our knowledgeable and experienced team. In return, we ask for your commitment and dedication to help us deal with a recent surge in the number of people who need some support with their emotional health.
Although the post is for 22.5 hours (equating to three days a week), we understand that some people may only wish to work for the CLD for one or two days a week. This may also be possible: our counsellors have a range of work patterns. If you would welcome an informal discussion about the CLD and your potential role in the organisation, please feel free to give our Chief Executive, Nick Dunster, a call on 07305 360427 for an informal discussion prior to application.
