Location: Oldham and GP surgery cover in Oldham including travel across organisational footprint
Reporting to: IAPT Counselling Project Manager.
The Role and Department:
We are looking to recruit a qualified Counsellor to work as part of our Adults IAPT Counselling Team in Oldham. Reporting to the IAPT Counselling Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering 50-minute counselling sessions within an 8 – 12 session model alongside undertaking initial discussion appointments from GP surgeries across Oldham.
What you will bring to TOGMind:
To be considered for this role, we are looking for:
§ a qualified counsellor with a Level 4 (minimum) Counselling Diploma from a recognised academic institution.
§ Experience of providing brief (8 – 12 session) counselling to clients experiencing common mental health concerns.
§ A member of a recognised counselling organisation (e.g. BACP).
§ Ability to manage own caseload of clients including updating clinical notes and managing incoming / outgoing referrals.
§ Experience of assessing and managing client risk and safeguarding concerns which arise within a counselling session.
