Chanel are currently seeking an experienced Costume Jewellery Artisan to join our UK Fashion Repair division within the Ultimate House of Luxury.
In the Full-Time position the Jewellery Artisan will report to the Master of Atelier UK and will be responsible for repair services for clients costume jewellery in the UK.
The ideal Candidate will:
- Responsible for the repair of costume jewellery in the UK.
- Have a deep passion for costume jewellery and a willingness to learn new skills and processes.
- Have a great eye for detail.
- Support the inventory control, sourcing, organisation and replenishment of CJ spare parts.
- Have excellent problem solving and organisational skills and are able to use initiative.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Apply a good work ethic and be helpful and courteous towards colleagues, being reliable and supportive.
- Be flexible to working hours as the business demands.
Practical experience of the following is ideal:
- Experience working with high-end luxury costume jewellery with particular emphasis on the construction and deconstruction of Costume Jewellery.
- A minimum of ‘two years’ experience of working with jewellery is ideal but not essential as training will provided.
- Confident in carrying out repairs by hand and by machine.
- Works in an orderly, tidy manner taking precision and care when it comes to the handling of repairs.
- Strong understanding of materials such as metals, pearls, strass and stones.
The successful applicant will be located primarily in Croydon.
