Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank. Our multi-disciplined teams include DevOps Engineers, IT Architects, Front and Back-End Developers, Infrastructure specialists, Cyber experts, as well as Project and Programme Managers.
Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains and with plans for continued expansion throughout 2023 and beyond, we are currently seeking experienced individuals to join HSBC Technology.
This role supports Hybrid working
You will be a Cost and Recharge Billing Analyst for the Technology COO providing dedicated thought leadership and execution in partnership with the Tech Global Intercompany Controller to achieve the following goals:
- Effectiveness of all Risk & Control for Tech intercompany charges owned by Tech COO on behalf of Technology and for the Tech CIO Function
- Ensure global processes are leveraged effectively across Technology
- Review of Intercompany Tech charges activities and processes (local/global) to improve efficiency of operational activities by increasing transparency and reduce incorrect charges.
- Drive transparency of Tech charges around the group and ensure a single source of data.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring IT COO is operating within its risk appetite in conjunction of the defined SOX process, by ensuring efficient and effective processes are adhere to globally for Intercompany Charges, disputes management, rate modelling and finance risk to full recovery.
- Act as trusted advisor for the stakeholder management on how to properly resolve intercompany challenges that may have a risk and all items related within the area for Tech Charges.
- Understand and ensure intercompany charges are in line with any local regulatory rules.
- Manage core systems and being business owner to drive improvements
- Manager Order book and change within annual budget
- Manage upstream systems like GL on reference data and management of Charges
- Key point of contact within Technology for Charges and any proposed changes
- Attendance required monthly working groups representing Tech
- Flexible and adaptable being able to handle and priorities competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to translate large data sets into multi-dimensional views to support all stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills to be able influence and challenge stakeholders.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- High level of attention to detail, and ability to lead People focused activities.
- Ability to maximize business performance i.e., developing, aligning, and translating strategies & plans to achieve business and functional goals.
- Knowledge and understanding of the potential Risk and Controls that impact a technology operations function
- Able to help analyse complex situations and provide support in influencing them
- Strong technical knowledge of Service Now desirable.
The role will be based in Sheffield, but some travel may be required.
