Hybrid working – 2/3 days in Sheffield
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Sheffield-based UK Finance team to support Aptean’s continued growth in the UK and Europe. This role would suit a part-qualified or recently-qualified accountant with a proactive and driven attitude looking to continue their professional development in a fast-paced environment with a global outlook. Main duties will involve all aspects of financial and management accounts;
About the role / responsibilities
- Ensure that all financial transactions are correctly processed and appropriately reflected in the GLs
- Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are performed and variances are investigated and reported in a timely manner
- Adherence to month end procedures and timescales in order to meet Group reporting commitments
- Ensure compliance with internal financial reporting requirements
- Support with Group and local Statutory audits
- Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making
- Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations
- Support with group acquisition integration work
- Adhoc projects as required by management
About you
- Qualified to degree level or equivalent
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA part qualified preferably
- European language skills would be advantageous
- Strong financial accounting experience, preferably in software environment
- Strong IT skills including excel modelling
- Ability to achieve continuous improvements in process and efficiency
- Deadline focused and results orientated
- Organised with strong focus on detail but with an ability to prioritise
- Strong teamwork ethic
