What does a Talent Acquisition Specialist do at Hillingdon?
Responsible for sourcing, attracting, and screening applicants for niche and senior roles across the council, the Talent Acquisition Specialist seeks to create and develop strong talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
Working in collaboration with hiring teams to define the selection criteria, the role utilises external resources to identify and present suitable candidates for consideration. Delivering an exceptional service, the role provides hiring teams with timely updates on the recruitment activities.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs
- Source potential candidates through online channels (LinkedIn, CV databases, etc)
- Design job advertisements and screening questions reflecting role criteria
- Advise and inform hiring teams of industry trends and insights
About you
We’re looking for an ambitious and highly motivated individual who is passionate about recruitment with a good understanding of talent acquisition best practice. Working within a fast-paced environment, you’ll have excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads.
With proven examples of successfully filling vacancies through a range of direct sourcing activities, you’ll have expert communication skills with the ability to inform, persuade and influence stakeholders both internal and external.
Key skills/ experience to evidence within your application:
- Previous experience within a fast-paced recruitment environment
- Candidate sourcing through a range of innovative methods
- Ability to obtain and analyse recruitment information and present findings
- Expert communication skills both written and verbal
