The Jr. Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening, and recommending candidates for CSL front line and department head positions for multiple communities within our portfolio. This person must understand, model, and represent the CSL Associate Value Proposition. He or she will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with CSL Community Leaders, identify potential “fit” through effective interviewing and testing, effectively manage the interview process, and ensure a positive candidate experience. They will work with CSL leaders to ensure hiring goals are met with the best possible talent. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilites:
- Recruit and perform talent acquisition activities such as resume & phone screens, recommend final selection of applicants, schedule interviews, and close qualified candidates.
- Publish open positions to external channels and maintain applicant tracking system in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct regular follow-up with recruitment manager and hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting, ensuring speed to lead candidate delivery.
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Continuously develop networks/partnerships to actively build database/pipeline of candidates and the CSL company brand.
- Conduct other staffing administration tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Two- or four-year college degree, or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years of human resources, talent acquisition, and interviewing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various recruiting techniques, and experience in online/social media recruiting.
- Proven ability to communicate and effectively “sell” an organization’s value proposition.
- Must possess excellent oral/written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Strong customer service, negotiation skills, and ability to interact with associates at all levels throughout the company.
- Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Creative in brainstorming and proposing new ideas and solutions to existing problems.
- Strong understanding of staffing principles, laws, and procedures and a solid working knowledge of recruitment/employment programs.
- Willing and able to travel occasionally, including overnight travel.
