Location – Field based, ideally located in the South East, South West or Midlands. This role will have a requirement to visit our head office based in Milton Keynes from time to time.

At VWFS UK our Fleet division is changing, we are on an exciting transformational journey with large growth plans to enable our business to be the market leader. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Corporate Account Manager to manage a portfolio of Fleet customer’s to develop and achieve results. Reporting to the National Sales Manager (Existing Corporate), this role is responsible for maintaining existing relationships to deliver solutions that will secure an improved supply status and drive client retention.
What you will be responsible for…
- Achievement of an annual sales performance target through delivered cases volume
- Regular face to face meetings with key buying influencers within a defined portfolio, including quarterly fleet performance reviews
- Regular customer contact through phone and email, and adopting communication tools such as MS Teams
- Respond to all customer enquiries within agreed timeframes
- Develop and own a strategic plan that delivers year-on-year portfolio growth
- Manage the renewal process and develop incremental business opportunities
- Maintain customer account plans detailing current product holding, volume expectations, growth expectations and opportunities to sell new products and services
- Credit line management within company procedure
- Manage the customer experience and deliver a high quality of customer service
- Ownership of all account negotiations and renegotiations including customers “at-risk “ and in tender
- Collaboration with key stakeholders in the business to establish pricing strategies for each customer account
- Proactive networking to create effective key stakeholder relationships
- Maintain Salesforce, ensuring that all customer record cards are accurate and up to date,
- Present appropriate and up-to-date Fleet Solutions to well informed B2B buyers.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of:
- Strong sales experience ideally within the motor financial services / fleet industry
- Previous Account Management experience of managing a large customer portfolio and a proven track record of target success
- Experience of leading successful negotiations with complex customers
- Proven experience of managing contract hire and related contracts with large corporates
- In depth knowledge of pricing structure and dynamics of the Corporate pricing models
- Accomplished negotiator and can influence at Board level
- Evidence of adopting and applying a structured approach to strategic account development methodology – such as Challenger Sales (Gartner), Blue, Green and Gold Sheets (Miller Heiman), Solution Selling and Insight Selling
- Strong communicator and exceptional presentation skills
- Confident, articulate, highly numerate with the ability to analyse data
- Ideally previous experience of using Salesforce
