From maintaining a safe environment for fans at Wembley Stadium or monitoring CCTV for savers cash at a global Bank, through to guarding the real estate and construction workforce for one of the UK’s largest Rail infrastructure projects, our Security Officers play an integral role in making people feel safe.
How you will make an impact as a Security Controller:
Purpose
To provide security advice and support to the BAE Systems Applied Intelligence Service and projects and programmes. To act as a focal point for stakeholders, managers and staff ensuring consistent and effective standards of information and advice, in line with defined security policy is maintained. Regularly liaise with Line management to provide a consistent approach to security. To ensure that Security operations are effectively managed in accordance with current HMG Security Policy Framework and BAE Systems Policy, controls, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Access control
- Adding/removing staff access
- Ensure Room access request auditing is in place
- Room access monthly checks
- Access request requirements (meet room requirements)
- ID checks/pass issues
- STRAPSO
- Escorting security contractors
- Security incident management
- Raising incidents on BAE’s company incident system
- Updating/investigating incidents (at SSC’s request)
- Classified visitor systems
- Clearance checks on BAE company clearance system
- General admin task’s
- Asset management
- Mustering
- Destruction
- Directing assets from site
- Administration of asset register
- Leavers debriefs
- Carry out Weekly Security induction
- Point of escalation for Security officers
- Covering both DI & MS when SSC on leave
- Carry out any reasonable request from the SSC’s
- Access control

Essential Skills
What you will bring to be a Security Controller:
- Previous experience gained with 3 years experiece in similar role
- You will hold a current SIA Licence or be willing to complete the necessary training to acquire professional accreditation.
- Applicants will possess excellent customer service skills
- Applicants will have good communication skills, able to articulate with authority
- You must be able to remain calm and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
- You will be vigilant and alert, able to use caution and apply an inquisitive mindset to your duties.
- All applicants must hold a clear 5-year checkable employment history
- Must be able to obtain DV clearance
- Due to the nature of our client’s industry sector applicants must meet strict UK right to work criteria.
- PC Literate with knowledge of relevant word processing, spreadsheet and other relevant software.
- You will be required to work Mon - Fri 40 hours a week
