JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-time starting, Full-time opportunity based on performance role tasked with providing text for use in apps, in documentation and in promotional materials as well as coordinating localization of text from English into the Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (Simplified & Traditional) languages.
ANNUAL SALARY
4 - 8 Million JPY
* For Tokyo location.
22'000-50'000GBP / year
* For part-time role, calculated hourly.

REQUIREMENTS
- Professional experience in copywriting in a variety of tones, as well as creative writing experience
- Professional experience in coordinating with software or game project teams
- A keen interest in localization quality of story content
- A keen interest in games and media in Japan as well as an understanding of the Game Market
- Weekday availability
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
You will be tasked with creating text for all announcements and for promotional materials, as well as the majority of in-app tutorials/messages, game UI and elements. You will determine all messaging and the tone used between the company and public in English. Further, you will be tasked with coordinating localization of this text and scenario text into the Japanese, Korean, and Chinese languages.
The role will involve working with in-house translation tools and tracking software, as well as communicating frequently with the development team on ad-hoc changes across multiple timezones.
FAVORABLE SKILLS
- Scripting / experience with programming in-house tools
- Experience in localization coordination across multiple languages
- Knowledge of the Japanese language
- Knowledge of the Korean language
- Knowledge of the Chinese language
- Experience in planning and arranging marketing activities such as promotional tie-ups
