Job Summary:
This role encompasses the operational responsibility for all aspects of the localisation and the creation of digital assets (components) for National Geographic content in EMEA.
The co-ordinator is expected to have relevant experience of content localisation, production, mastering and digital distribution; in addition they should have excellent project management skills, attention to detail and organisational ability.
This role is office based with a requirement to be on-site 4 days per week.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- As title/territory expert, raise accurate and timely orders to commission the localisation (dubbing, subtitling, access services and metadata) of content in line within agreed deadlines and to agreed technical standards and costs (SLAs) while ensuring creative consistency.
- Organise and handle this localisation across multiple titles and territories - including creating and tracking orders on our localisation system Symphony, and the negotiation of dubbing/subbing delivery schedules with vendors.
- Work closely with our Burbank colleagues on confirming validation schedules for the repurposing of materials by Disney+/Star.
- Action Rejections and recall notifications and update/replace materials as required.
- Resolve metadata integrity issues across stakeholders.
- Support metrics for the on time delivery of local dubs and scripts, local language masters, components and localised metadata of those titles for which the Operations Co-ordinator is the title expert.
- Contribute to the team and collaborate on specific projects and opportunities to improve workflows.
- Working closely with and supporting the team Supervisor to ensure adherence to team workflows and support in documentation of process.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
- Timely completion of bi-annual appraisal scheme with Line Manager.
- Work effectively with departmental colleagues and cross-functionally with other members of DEE Content Ops
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties.
- Maintain a strong awareness of technical developments in the digital media space.
- Provide training for colleagues as required.
- Ensure other Departments are familiar with our role, and how to access relevant information.
- Participate in systems testing and contribute suggestions for workflow and systems improvement.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Background or experience in a production/operations role, preferably in a creative environment.
- Excellent and demonstrable project management experience, including the handling of rejections and tracking vendor performance through metrics.
- Experience of File based and High Definition technology, New Media and electronic file delivery.
- Thorough experience in content localisation, production, mastering and digital distribution is desirable.
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of SAP reporting an advantage.
- Strong presentation skills.
