Job description
We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working individual to join our endoscopy booking coordinator team on a 12-month secondment.
The role will entail booking of patients awaiting diagnostic, therapeutic and surveillance procedures, handling of telephone and email queries and working closely with a wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients are booked in accordance with clinical timelines and waiting times targets.
The role of Patient Booking Coordinator is key to ensuring our patients are supported and assisted from the first contact they have with UCLH. The post holder is required to provide a responsive call handling service, process complex referrals and book appointments, and provide patients or visitors with any information they need prior to visiting one of our services. The Patient Booking Coordinator is expected to role model positive behaviours and practice, providing support and guidance to colleagues as required.
This post has supervisory responsibilities for the day to day operational running of a team/department. In addition, the post holder may supervise a team of Patient Booking Assistants.
The post holder will be required to work closely with other members of the administrative team and clinical teams, including managers, administrators, nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers.
The post holder will be required to liaise with a range of staff internally and externally across the Trust and with partner and external organisations.
