Job description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist and support department functions, including referral integrity management census reconciliation daily to meet operational, financial, and service requirements, including workload distribution and time keeping.
- Manages hiring and onboarding of new staff.
- Responsible for creating reports and analyzing data to support department efficiencies and quality improvement.
- Investigates and resolves referral processing issues.
- Maintains a positive working environment among employees through mentoring.
- Coordinates department process improvement operations and provides solutions with other areas of the organization.
- Resolves errors and complaints from client departments and other managers.
- Acts as a liaison between management and other departments to facilitates communication between the departments and clients.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum three (3) years in healthcare and or process improvement.
- Associates degree or four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
- High School diploma or General Education (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
- N/A
- Project management experience
- Lean six sigma certifications
- Proficiency with using Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and application of service codes and medical procedures required.
- Excellent customer service, telephone presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work in a high-volume, demanding environment.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
- Previous process improvement experience
- Previous experience working with EPIC EMR system.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical procedures, utilization management and KFHP benefits.
