Subcontractor Coordinator
The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in UK’s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
We specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of prefabricated energy solutions, typically built in NI and shipped throughout the UK & Europe. We also offer turnkey design, build, and operate solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating solutions and have experience with successfully procuring and delivering many similar packages to a wide range of public bodies throughout UK & Europe.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to integrate a Subcontractor Coordinator to support our growing teams.
Role:
Job Title: Subcontractor Coordinator
Location: Head Office, Banbridge, NI.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 3pm
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Responsible to: Production Manager
Closing Date: Friday 28th July 2023
Core Responsibilities of role:
- Monitor and keep track of changes in programme and update welding capacity charts and notify and address key stakeholders accordingly.
- Adhering to the sub-contractor procedure
- Provide status reports to management in the approved format weekly.
- Keep track of costs and provide analysis for interpretation.
- Contribute to the performance report to demonstrate initial project cost projection at early stages of contract engagement.
- Provide 3 month look ahead to key partners of future contracts.
- Liaise with subcontractors and project manager to ensure tender documents are submitted and meets requirements.
- Provide feedback to the wider contracts team during the tender process, identifying risks and solutions.
- Assist with other duties in line with company objectives.
Essential Criteria:
- Proficient use in Adobe software, create, edit, and merge PDF to generate tender packages.
- Proficient use in Microsoft Packages, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Organized and can set and manage priorities based on company objectives.
- Ability to multitask across several contracts and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently to ensure company objectives are met.
Desired Criteria:
- Prior experience working within a construction/manufacturing environment dealing with external partners and stakeholders.
- Minimum 2 years work related experience.
