Playmania Sheffield are looking for someone to join our small kitchen team either part or full time.Our Cooks are solely responsible for the running of the kitchen daily, including food preparation, cleaning, running food and pots. This is a very physical job and requires someone who is willing to be on their feet for most of the day and working under pressure in a fast paced environment.If you think this is the right role for you then please attend our drop in interviews on Tuesday 7th November anytime between 2pm and 6pm. Please send us a copy of your C.V and a member of the team will be in touch to confirm when you will be popping down.Duties:- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and meal presentation in the kitchen- Create and develop new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences- Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards of quality and taste- Manage inventory and order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers- Monitor food safety practices to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations- Collaborate with restaurant management to plan and execute special events or themed menus- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environmentSkills:- Culinary expertise and a passion for cooking- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and flavor profiles- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail- Excellent organizational and time management skills- Effective communication and leadership abilities- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practicesNote: Prior experience as a chef or in a similar role is preferred.Job Types: Part-time, Full-timePart-time hours: 16-30 per weekSalary: From £11.00 per hourBenefits:Company eventsCompany pensionDiscounted or free foodEmployee discountFree parkingGym membershipOn-site parkingApplication question(s):Do you have experience working in a kitchen or cafe?Do you think you are able to run a small kitchen on your own if needed during your shifts?Are you able to work weekends?Work Location: In person
