The job itself

We are seeking to appoint an experienced caterer for the role of Cook at Keldmarsh Primary School. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a busy kitchen environment and the ability to take the lead on meal preparation and delivery, alongside managing a busy kitchen team.

The role:

Excellent hours - 30 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 2:00pm
Term time only contract (194 days to include 4 cleaning days)
Permanent role
Plan in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the highest standard
Manage and guide the catering team
Contribute to high levels of customer service
Comply and have full knowledge of regulations regarding Health & Safety, ensuring that best food practices and hygiene procedures are adhered to.

Desirable attributes for this post include:

Catering qualification such as NVQ L2 or equivalent
Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
Working knowledge of the Government's food standards
An understanding of allergens and special dietary requirements
