Conveyancer (Major Projects)
£38,296 - £43,516 per annum
Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council are seeking a Conveyancer to join their Major Projects team on a permanent basis. This position would ideally be suited to a Legal Executive, NQ Solicitor or experienced Paralegal with experience dealing with property transactions.
You will join a friendly and close-knit team and manage a caseload of property transactions. You will benefit from working alongside experienced practitioners, gaining exposure to high quality work. You will enjoy contact with external clients and advise other departments on property law and how to structure transactions.
This varied and stimulating position will allow you to strike a good work-life balance with flexible and hybrid working. This is an exciting time to join the council and there will be opportunities to play a role in key projects.

Duties
- Manage a caseload of property transactions and high value leases
- Typical work will include freehold disposal, high value lease and general property advice
- Support colleagues with complex property work related legal project work
- Assist with a range of legal and administrative duties as required
Essential Requirements
- Legal Executive, NQ Solicitor or experienced Paralegal (3 years + experience)
- 2 years’ experience of practical legal work in property law
- Adaptable, flexible, dependable, able to work as part of a team
Desirable Requirements (not essential)
- Local Authority experience
- Experience dealing with unregistered titles
