You'll play an integral part in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of technology and cyber key controls through developing high quality data insight/analysis to improve the risk & control landscape.
What you'll getting involved with...
  • Collaborate with a team of testing colleagues to perform risk-based controls testing activities in areas such as Incident Management, Disaster Recovery, Vulnerability Management, Cryptography, Network Security and Privileged Access Management.
  • Work with the Technology Risk & Control Testing Manager and wider technology-aligned colleagues to evaluate their remediation activities and provide challenge on the landscape, in a collaborative and pragmatic manner.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mentality, seeking opportunities to provide greater assurance over the effectiveness of risk and control management in an efficient and robust manner, promoting and employing greater use of data analytics to achieve this.
  • Be capable of analysing and knitting together a range of data sources, providing business and technology leaders with a comprehensive view of control performance.

About you...
  • Preferably have experience and knowledge in having tested technology, and cyber security controls, both in the cloud and on-premise.
  • Design solutions for customers.
  • Love to fix problems and challenge current ways of doing things (automation, monitoring etc.)
  • Be enthusiastic about data and designing solutions
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter who routinely works on their own initiative.
  • Build and maintain strong and constructive relationships.
Here are the skills/background we're seeking...
  • Relevant experience in financial services technology or IT Internal / External Audit, or experience in technology risk.
  • Preferably experience in applying different control testing methodologies where possible (e.g., use of CAATs, sampling).
  • Some experience of data-wrangling using a number of different tools (e.g. SQL, Excel) and Data Visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Passion for data analytics
  • Understanding of the risk and controls inherent in various technologies (e.g., mainframe) and cloud service and deployment models.
  • Experience of working on design and implementation of control automation and continuous monitoring initiatives.
