JR Automation is seeking a Controls Engineer I for our Ogden, Utah location.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, implement and document controls systems (electrical, software, pneumatic, hydraulic) for various types of automated equipment
- Solve practical problems with no standard solution
- Analyze the feasibility, design, operation or performance of equipment, components or systems
- Perform hazard and risk analysis and take necessary actions to mitigate
- Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and/or Setpoint build specifications using standard techniques and approach
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Actively participate in the machine debug, power-up and machine validation with the appropriate build teams
- Technical management of controls architecture of assigned projects as they relate to scope, schedule, budget, quality and customer satisfaction
- Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment; up to 25% travel expected yearly

What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree from 4-year College or university in related engineering field, or six years related experience and/or training.
- Design experience for automated equipment preferred
