We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Control Engineer to join the team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of electrical & control systems.
The successful candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively with other engineers to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement control systems to robotics/automated machinery.
- Conduct system modelling and simulation to optimise control strategies and performance.
- Perform system analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues in control systems.
- Commission software changes virtually
- Write code with the end user in mind
- Work with software embedded hardware, including electrical and pneumatic
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in control systems
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in control system design and implementation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with PLC programming e.g., Beckhoff or equivalent, e.g., Siemens S7 PLCs in the TIA Portal environment
- Experience in electrical design e.g., Eplan, AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SmartDraw, Electra E8, ASolidWorks Electrical Schematics etc.
- Hands on experience in designing and implementing control systems, from concept to final solution
- Experience with programming languages commonly used in control system development (e.g., C++, Python, Java).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex systems.
- Background in agricultural, feed/food processing and/or manufacturing sectors (desirable)
