Job description
Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based in the North-East and due to significant growth and a high demand for their product, they are recruiting for a Production Controller on a permanent basis.
The Person we are looking for:-
- Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft software e.g., Word, Excel, Access.
- Must have a professional approach with telephone manner and email content.
- Control all aspects of production control, planning and quality ensuring controls are implemented for efficient manufacture delivering a quality product to the customer.
Duties & Responsibilities:-
To understand, improve, and use the database system tool as below –
- Create, monitor, and update company excel master list using data from system.
Drive weekly and monthly schedules calculating resource capacity with all team leaders prioritizing the plan fulfilling immediate requirements where possible.
Liaise with team leaders ensuring schedule adherence escalating issues
Monitor Sub Contractor requirements with the assessment team leader ensuring arrangements are made in a timely manner.
Controlling the transport requirements for all activity and final Dispatch via internal driver, intercompany transport or hauler as required.
Request deliver notes and invoice details from admin support for jobs accordingly updating the master list ensuring all production documentation completed as necessary.
Purchase adhoc materials and expedite specific materials ensuring project deadlines are fulfilled.
Liaise with database supplier support for training, issues, and continuous improvements.
Raise NCR’s ensuring re-work is correctly processed capturing costs, route cause, remedial actions and close out accordingly.
Create and roll out SOP’s/MI’s via toolbox talks with relevant management/team leader approval.
Meet weekly with management to discuss progress and re-align immediate priorities and requirements.
Monitor departmental performance against the current plan and escalate with management accordingly.

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
