Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide accurate and timely financial information
- Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting, highlighting key insights and making recommendations for business improvement
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during the annual audit and tax filing processes
- Submission/Filing of Completion statements and Company Statutory Accounts.
- Prepare monthly Board Pack - prepare financial information & commentary for Board members and present the information during monthly Board meetings
- Prepayments - review overhead nominals and ensure all costs are identified for prepayments, investigate and action where necessary, ensuring upload to sage balances
- Process and reconcile balance sheets
- Responsible for completing Monthly management accounts
- Manage a small finance team
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in a technology or digital industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Proficient in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams
