Job description
Proactis is a leading Source-to-Pay software solution provider for mid-market organisations across a range of service-led industries.
Proactis’ end-to-end modular platform enables customers to control spend and manage supply-chain risk; improve compliance and governance of their purchasing activities; reduce the cost of goods and services; and deliver efficiencies, all through process digitisation and automation.
- Production of accurate, timely and consistent monthly management accounts for the UK and Irish entities (IFRS), including managing the posting of month end journals and reviewing the Group format reconciliations.
- Management of cash and forecasting including the management of the receipts from the sales ledgers and supplier payments.
- Provision of support to the wider UK Team including the provision of monthly and adhoc financial information to the wider business.
- Training, leadership and mentoring of the UK Finance Team.
- Involvement in the preparation of year end files for auditors and the annual audit process.
- Responsibility for the production and completion of the annual financial statements of the UK and Irish managed entities (excluding the Group consolidated accounts).
- Responsibility for the tax compliance of the UK and Irish managed entities including the production and completion of the annual tax returns and VAT compliance.
- Responsibility for maintaining and supporting internal Finance systems and processes.
- Adherence to and improvement of financial operational controls.
- Assisting the Group controller with the monthly consolidated Group management accounts and annual statutory consolidated financial statements.
- Liaising with functional heads to understand any variances to budgets and forecasts.
- Involvement in business projects as appropriate to the role
- Support the preparation of the annual budget and reforecasts by maintaining accurate revenue and cost information.
- Qualified accountant - ACA or other equivilent
- Big 4 experience would be advantageous
- Good spoken and written communication skills, an assertive but tactful manner.
