Position Overview:
Environmental Products and Services Ltd is seeking a Financial Controller to join our team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the company, including but not limited to, month-end close, cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in financial management and or accounting required; Intermediate Excel skills required.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on financial reporting and budgeting required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and prioritize work accordingly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop process improvements for month-end close, cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Prepare financial statements for each division including but not limited to general ledger, profit & loss, sales, expenses, payroll taxes, depreciation & amortization.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for each department including but not limited to sales revenue, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory & cash flow analysis for each division.
- Prepare quarterly financial reports for each division including but not limited to general ledger & budgeting analysis for each department.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for each division including but not limited to sales revenue & accounts payable.
- Review customer invoices and review customer credit cards for accuracy & completeness. Review customer credit card payments for completion within 30 days of payment date. Reconcile bank statements & other financial data between bank & company account as needed. Review credit card purchases & write up balance on account as needed.
