Salary: £44,100 - £66,100 + performance-related bonus + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.

What is the Role?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial team, to develop and implement key procurement and commercial strategies across a range of projects in our Networks Transmission business.
Reporting to the Procurement & Commercial Manager, the Contract Manager will support project teams and the Procurement & Commercial Manager to deliver strategies and contracts, providing robust post contract commercial management which will support the project goals and objectives.
We are looking for experienced Contract Managers who will:
- Provide the necessary pre and post contract quantity surveying / commercial support on a range of one-off projects and programmes of work. We are looking for a candidate who has working knowledge of the relevant conditions of contract, along with experience in procurement, cost and budget management, contract administration and payment and expenditure management.
- Have strong commercial acumen with well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills with demonstrable experience delivering large projects/programmes of work.
- Support the delivery of departmental KPIs and objectives such as savings in total cost of ownership, value engineering and safety performance.
- Possess the ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure whilst still delivering quality output and prioritise requirements where necessary. A keen eye to detail is a must as well as the ability to work methodically through a demanding workload. You will need to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and hold the ability to influence and negotiate with users outside your own sphere of responsibility.
What do I need?
We are looking for candidates who have working knowledge of the relevant conditions of contract, along with experience in estimating, cost and budget management, contract administration and payment and expenditure management.
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Quantity Surveying degree / CIPS or equivalent.
- Experience in managing supply chain activities.
- Extensive experience of managing contracts on significant projects or programmes of work of £5-30M.
- Procurement experience.
- Experience in managing NEC3 forms of contract.
- Professional qualifications - MRICS / MCIPS desirable.
