NxGen Recruit are currently hiring for a Capital Works Contract Manager on a 6 month initial contract.

You will be part of a Team responsible for delivering the Housing Capital Programme which undertakes approximately £15m per annum of spend on a range of improvement projects to the 5,600 landlord properties.

Typical contracts / works include the refurbishment of residential properties both internally and externally as well as fire and water safety works.

Your main role will be too:

• Provide effective contract management
• Manage external contractors
• Engage with residents
• Manage project and operational risks
• Setting standards and performance objectives
• Deal with any delivery issues
• Assist with audits
• Monitor works and track budgets

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Strong contract management skills
• Experience of the housing / residential sector
• Strong construction / housing repairs knowledge
• Membership of a professional body such as CIOB
• Strong communication, organisational and team working skills
• Knowledge of health and safety
• Managed works of between £500K to £3m

The client is flexible on the rate of pay so please state your rate of pay on application. Ideally we are looking for applications in the region of £300 - £375 per day Umbrella.
