We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the Commissioning team at {My}Dentist
- Open to candidates nationwide as the role can be based fully remotely
- Salary up to £55k depending on experience with car allowance and bonus opportunities
- Responsible for NHS contracts and stakeholder relationships across the South West and Wales region of the business
What is the role?
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for the management of existing contractual relationships with NHS commissioning authorities (namely Area Teams in England and Local Health Boards in Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland), and will be instrumental in the management of contractual compliance. In addition, the Contracts Manager will proactively protect and grow our dental contracts in line with our commissioning strategy.
- Managing all NHS contracts and NHS stakeholder relationships and co-ordinating Mid and Year End Contractual Performance Reviews, involving Operational and Clinical Team Members – which includes attendance at review meetings, preparation of performance information and recovery/action plans
- Identifying risk practices and working with all stakeholders as required
- Developing communication with NHS Commissioners and all other NHS departments as required
- Managing the renegotiation and variation of existing contracts in accordance with prevailing regulations and Department of Health guidance
- Preparing papers and briefings for the Company Board and Executive Directors relating to Existing Contracts, Secured Growth, and New Business Developments in all UK regions
- Keeping appraised of changes in NHS/Government policy, best practice, and strategy, to be able to disseminate key information to practice teams, regional management, executive directors, and the board
- Supporting the tender process for all time-limited contracts
- Identifying opportunities for Growth and Expansion within the NHS and private markets Market
- Building close working relationships with Business Development Team to support the onboarding of acquisition practice contracts
- Preparing business cases and applications on behalf of existing practices for the delivery of additional and new dental services
- Supporting the tendering team in the preparation of tenders’ submissions for the development of new ‘Greenfield’ practices, Specialist and ‘Flagship’ Service Developments within designated regions, including attendance at formal Interviews and Tender Presentations (working alongside Operational and Clinical Team Members)
- Managing the mobilisation of new contracts and the handover of these contracts to Practice, Area and Regional Managers, and the Integration Teams

- Commercial experience and drive
- Experience working in or with NHS Contracting or Commissioning
- Experience in the preparation of business proposals, applications, or tenders for new business
- Influencing skills and effective at building relationships
