Job Title : Contract Account Manager
Reporting To : Head of Compliance
Hours of Work : 37.5 hrs per week
Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated Contract Account Manager to join the Netcom team to manage and oversee key contracts held with various combined authorities and funding partners.
Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will be accountable for the successful delivery of Netcom funding contracts within agreed budget and timelines. The role requires co-ordination with key stakeholders in each department to ensure key performance indicators are achieved, reporting information provided to external partners is accurate and contractual obligations are met or exceeded.
Your responsibilities will include providing day to day management of Netcom’s funding contracts, monitoring performance against contractual key performance indicators, leading account meetings, communicating expectations to relevant departments and senior management team and development of contract management reporting against profile.
The Funding Contract Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that Netcom exceeds quality, compliance and financial expectations with funding partners. You will be working in a supportive, friendly and collaborative team, ensuring that we deliver an excellent service, whilst adhering to funding rules and contractual requirements.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Lead the management of Netcom funding contracts effectively and efficiently in line with funders targets on spend and outputs, working closely with departmental managers and in partnership with key stakeholders.
- Lead the development of contract management tools, ensuring consistency and accuracy of business reports to ensure all managers have a clear understanding of progress and risks that require action.
- Form and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including through robust contract management to ensure funding is being used appropriately and agreed targets are met, challenging performance where required.
- Produce concise and detailed reports on contract spend, outputs, outcomes, finance and risks for varied sources including funders and SLT.
- Lead and attend all funder monthly reviews and performance management meetings, delivering the performance measures against the contract milestones highlighting areas of concern where necessary and submitting relevant data in reference to SAR/QIP and OFSTED data set.
- Communicate outcomes of contract meetings and actions efficiently to relevant department heads and SLT. Identify issues and risks, taking any necessary remedial action to resolve or mitigate them, and feedback to the Head of Compliance with action taken.
- Work with stakeholders to liaise and negotiate directly with relevant funding bodies and government departments in relation to managing and monitoring programmes.
- Ensure that contractual deliverables and outcomes are provided as per agreed timetables.
- Keep track of contracting milestones and pinpoint where improvements need to be made to enhance efficiency and report back to Head of Compliance on any required actions.
- Have an overall view of contractual KPI’s including starts, completions, retention, and progressions to maintain contract performance against profiles, resolving issues as they arise and escalating to the Head of Compliance where appropriate.
- Create effective communication across all departments to ensure cohesion.
- Undertake such other duties compatible with the post as may be required by SLT.

- Deliver excellence in contractual requirements for funding bodies.
- 100% of documentation completion to support contractual requirements.
- Monitor management data and information against contractual targets and implement changes as appropriate.

- Education to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience in a relevant sector.

Experience
- Management of AEB or other funding contracts with combined authorities.
- Management of educational/skills programmes.
- Working with Education and Skills funding systems.
- Leading teams/supporting development of staff.
- Stakeholder management
- Working in busy office environment
Knowledge and understanding
- Knowledge of AEB funded programmes and operational delivery.
- Good knowledge and confident with using office applications such as Word, Excel, Microsoft teams.
- Understanding of Ofsted EIF.
