As Continuous Improvement Trainee, you will support the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the business. You will support a culture of sustainable change through the creation and embedding of LEAN methodology, looking at existing processes and how they can be improved.

- Participate in ‘events & workshops' to establish problem solving & learning capabilities, with a view to become an independent facilitator
- Support the delivery of the improvements, identified through those workshops
- Support Lean tools deployment across site
- Support Lean promotion events, organisation, communication and delivery
DELIVERY OF TANGIBLE, SUSTAINED IMPROVEMENT
- Identify and deliver improvement activities across the business through employing process improvement methodologies and the application of innovative thinking
- Support the delivery of better value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary complexity within business processes and identification of better ways of working
- Develop a KPI dashboard that is capable of automatically updating information reducing manual input
- Identify trends and process variations as part of establishing an improvement monitoring system
- Working collaboratively with Safran Nacelles & the UK network to introduce a digital solution to capture Innovative ideas and improve the 5S Audit process
- Take ownership of change initiatives from evolution/efficiency identification through to project delivery via internal governance and controls
- Work with the Continuous Improvement Managers to ensure consistency of approach across the site
- Ensure understanding of continuous improvement concepts including Six Sigma, Lean, value stream mapping a
Job requirements
PC Literate in all windows based software with good knowledge of analysis & reporting tools - Essential
Awareness of Lean Sigma tools especially 5S, DMAIC, PDCA and Kaizen - Preferable
Enthusiastic to use modern and emerging technology - Essential
Prior experience of project management methodologies - Preferable
Ability to navigate through challenging situations, to reach collaborative solutions - Essential
Prior experience working in a project management/continuous improvement function (internship accepted as function) - Desirable
Desire to be trained as a Lean Sigma Green Belt then Lean Sigma Black Belt - Essential
