About us
NowThis Magazine is a fresh, up-and-coming digital marketing firm keeping our audience plugged in to what to eat, see, do and explore in Southern Ontario. We also host in-person sample sales, reaching thousands of guests. We are a creative, social, and collaborative small business, and our goal is to tap into the Chinese, Indian and Persian audiences of Toronto, GTA and York Region.

We are looking to add 3 Content Creators to join our team and create, as well as translate, compelling reels, carousels and static posts for Instagram and potentially TikTok. The successful candidates will be responsible for researching topics, creating content that is accurate and engaging, attending various restaurants/events and proofreading all content before publication. They must then translate and publish the content to their designated accounts, either in Farsi, Mandarin or Urdu. The ideal candidates will have excellent writing skills, an eye for detail, a creative touch and the ability to work independently and efficiently. Fluency (written and spoken) in either Farsi, Mandarin or Urdu is required.
Responsibilities:
- Research and write content for a variety of topics.
- Create original, on-brand content that is accurate, clear, and engaging.
- Translate existing content into either Farsi, Mandarin or Urdu.
- Edit and proofread content for accuracy and clarity.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with Social Media Director to ensure quality of content & brand cohesion.
- Develop ideas for new content pieces.
- Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO).
- Publish content to assigned Instagram account.
Please note that all content will be posted to one of NowThis Magazine's three new accounts.
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 5-10 per week
Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
